34 weeks and counting!

I am just over 34 weeks pregnant now and counting down everyday. I went to the doctor today. My blood work from 2 weeks ago was good. The baby has turned the wrong way now having his head in my ribs! The doctor did not like that, so now I have to go back in one week just to see if he has turned back down like before. I guess the baby was not in a good position to measure him either because she was not happy with the measurments either. So now I have to do the almost 2 hour doctor visit process all over again next week just to see if the baby has turned. I just have to tell myself 5 and a half more weeks, hopefully!

I have not had the opportunity to have a baby in August or even summer time before now. The heat has hit Germany now which is not bad compared to Florida weather, but houses here do not have air condition which makes a big difference. You have to get into your car for any kind of relief. The heat is also making my feet and legs swell, which I have never had before. I am just thankful I am not having a baby when there is snow with closed roads everywhere. Have to think positive!

Our fun!

I have finally asked Dane to fill up the sand box for Jarom, and it has turned into the community sand box! How many boys can play in a small sand box?
This week Devin has attended a week of Bible school here on Post for 3 hours in the evenings. After making him go the first day, he loved it! Their theme was Saddle Ridge Ranch.

Friday was a family fun day (organization day) for Dane's unit. The kids loved the bouncy things of course. Dane wanted to take Devin canoeing which at first he said, "no way." Devin has been fighting to do everything even if we know he will like it. Of course, he had a blast! When they left I told Devin, "do not stand up in the canoe." He said why?.......

I really do enjoy taking the kids to things like this because Saturday morning they both slept in till 9:30! I do not think that has ever happened. It was very nice.

High School Days

So for some reason, I found some old friends on facebook this week. They had some old High School pictures which I was in some of them. Here is a small picture of my dance class. I am on the far right. I really did enjoy my dance classes in High School.

This morning.....

So when Dane left this morning for work, he said, "I love you, but you sure were pregnant last night." He came to bed after me, so I guess I was not nice when he finally came to bed. I have been having some ruff nights with nausea and back pains and getting up every 2 hours, and I still have 7 more weeks! I think the nausea is not as bad with this baby, but time just seems to be sitting still. I am ready to get my energy back and have a new set of challenges

My Super Star!

Today was Devin's last day of school (half day). Daddy and I had to attend because Devin got a (June) Star Award for good behavior during the schools Star Assembly. Only about 5 first graders got one. Anyone that knows my Devin knows this is a BIG DEAL! He has always had a difficult time being nice and almost got kicked out of Pre-K. He has really grown a lot. Having Dane back home from deployment has really helped. Boys need daddy time!
All the "Shining Stars"

We had to say goodbye to the school playground!
I love it when Jarom stops and poses for my pictures!
Want to be kid again!

Some fun pictures!

Today is the last "FULL" day of school for Devin, so they had a potluck. It was a very nice day. It almost felt like Fall even though it is Summer. That is Germany for you!
Here is one of Devin's friends

Here is one of Dane's homemade swings he made for Devin and his friends.
THEY LOVE IT!

Of course he had to try it himself!
Starting this week, Dane has been attempting to teach Devin the piano! He is determined to have music in our home!

Our newest "ball" game for $5.00.

Just a cute picture of Jarom at the PX

I went to the doctor today for the baby. I asked if he was big. She told me the head was on track (with the newer due date Aug 8), but the chest area was a little big. She had a interesting comment after that. She said, " but that is normal for Americans or Army people." I do not know how I feel about that comment!

Our one day trip!

So this week we were planning to travel to get Dane's eye fixed. He was so excited about not having glasses anymore. He had to go to multiple appts here, get paper work signed from his commander, then we had to find a hotel (hard to do there), rental car (pick up 30 min away), get Devin out of school for a week, and pack everyone! We drove 4 hours away for the surgery. His first appt there before surgery they found out Dane has something on his eyes where the surgery can not be done. He has healthy eyes, but like 1/10 people have this problem. I wish the eye clinic here could have told us this before, but we got a ONE day vacation out of it. Here are some pictures.
Here is our hotel, breakfast time in the Winter Garden!
Devin had to have a picture of this plant with all the roots.

The highlight of the trip was going to their "American mall."
I felt like I was back in the US, it was great! We got to eat at Macaroni Grill. The kids loved it as you can see. First time in over a year I got to eat at an American restaurant :)

I had to take a picture!

Before our 4 hour trip back home, we had to get some wiggles out.
They were so kind to stop for a picture here.

Back home early

It's a long story....we are home minus the eye surgery for Dane. It's been a long day of 4 hours of driving and I am tired. More to come tomorrow when the kids are not SO CRAZY!

Devin's Cub Scouts

What a full Saturday we had outside for the cub scout campout. We did not campout since Dane had 24 hr duty all night. We went out there in the morning and had fun. Jarom found a buddy to find bugs, see how cute there are?
Fishing, and there was big fish!

and little fish for Devin! Not everyone caught a fish, so he was special.

Jarom had fun playing "house" with all the food.
They did the crossover, so now Devin is a Wolf!
So with all "our" hard work Devin got these patches and belt loops.
These were all done today! We are tired!
Belt loops: Wildlife Conservation
Badminton
Hiking
Photography
Fishing
Kickball
For the patches, he got from other activities he had done in other months like selling popcorn, visiting the Dental clinic, planting flowers, and Tiger patch for completing Tiger cubs!
Great job Devin!

Birthday time for Dane

Since we are leaving Sunday for Dane's eye surgery, I wanted to do Dane's birthday a couple of days early. I wanted lots of time for him to eat up his coconut cream pie! Saturday Dane will be one year older and wiser!!! He never lets me take a normal picture of him, only personality! I guess that is why I love him.
I want to thank my mother-in-law for these 2 wonderful quilts we got in the mail! This one is mine, love all the colors.

Here is one for Devin!

Pregnancy

With every pregnancy now, I have had very bad nausea! I noticed if I had cereal in the morning, I was very tired. One day I ate "Life" cereal at night before bed and felt GREAT! Evenings is when I normally become nausous. I have been eating it before bed for weeks now and it really has helped me. I was not hungry last night, so I decided to skip it. I was sick all night and some of the day today. I will not make that mistake again! Hopfully it will just keeping working to decrease my nausea.

We are on day 3 of having no pacifier for Jarom during the day. He calls it "mine." I was playing with him one time and said it was mine and I guess the name stuck with it. He crys more and saids "mine" all the time, but I am trying to stay strong and keep it away during the day for now and work towards night time. He sure loves his pacifier!
