2012 Nichols Disney Vacation

We had lots of fun with Grandma Nichols and Carson. We were very busy and tired, but lots of memories!

After we left Disney, we drove to Tallahassee FL to see more family and go to Spring Time Tallahassee parade and festival.

Big Celebrations this Month!

Wow! I have a 9 year old in my house now! I do not feel old enough to have such a big kid.





















We had our neighbors come over for some party time.

Our next Celebration, Dane finished and completed the Captain Career Course. We are super excited to have this done and moving on to the next job. I am super excited to stay in GA close to family. Staying in the same house for over 2 years seems weird :)

To busy to blog :)

I have to say 4 kids (3 small ones) is a full time job, but I love it. Not much time for blogging I guess, to busy having fun with my family. The kids love crafts, but we can only do them when Ammon is sleeping because he will destroy everything. Here is one craft the boys did and I remember doing this as a child. You put the little glass beads and heat it to melt for a stain glass look. I am still finding little glass beads in my house!!!!





















Ammon found a new place to play! You see that face? The face of "I know I should not be in here."


















Since we heard we will be staying here, I wanted to get some brick for our back yard which is almost ALL dirt. I am tired of the dirt getting in the house. Jarom was so cute helping. It is still not done yet, but hopefully soon.

New to our family!!! Hermit crabs!! We found this tank and all the stuff at a thirft store for $.50!!! So I thought why not for that price. We have 3 crabs now. The boys just really like them for some reason.

I don't get to see Dane all dressed in his Blues very often, so I have to take a picture. Dane had a formal social for work. He did not think I wanted to go, so he did not ask. I guess he will never know if I really wanted to go!!!

Boys, Boys, and Boys

Boys, Boys, and more Boys in this house! Here are some pictures I got of Ammon when he DOES NOT want to share. He sure holds on tight to drinks and food, his best friends, and his blankets :) He is a handful now-a-days. He HATES shopping, so we normally leave the grocery store screaming. Once we leave the building, he stops! I just have to love him.

Here is a picture on a visit to Grandparents house in Tallahassee. The kids loved the tractor ride. Do not be fooled by Jarom's sad face, it is only for the camera.

Devin did the pinewood derby this year. We were able to do a few more things to the car to try to make it faster, but we did not win. I might need to buy a book on speed tips.

The weather has been wonderful here, so we have been spending many days outside at the playground/dog park. Yes, they have a dog park here. Shmoo loves to play with the other dogs and runs crazy. The playground is right beside the dog park, so it is a win win situation.

So no big news here, just trying to keep up with 4 messy dirty boys :) I do not know what they would do without me. I guess live very messy lives!

This week

Last week and this week we have been battling sickness in the house. The 24 hour virus went through each children one by one and now I have some kind of cold/flu. I am glad we are all getting better now. The best part of last week was a really cool email I got from church asking if everyone needed a bunk bed. I replied very quickly and was the first, so we got it. Devin has been VERY HAPPY for his new FREE bed. He has a new dresser and a little desk under it. Perfect spot for a little boy. His room is still messy because I have been to sick to organize anything.

Devin had a project at school to make a paper quilt timeline. I had no idea how to make one, so I looked online. So this is what we made.....

We put age 3-8 year pictures in each quilt square. It was a lot of work but fun. We got our inspiration from a quilt Dane's mom made for us. Of course Jarom only wants to be in the picture when I do not ask or when it is a Devin picture only. Silly boy :)

Happy Happy Happy

We are very happy because it looks like we will be able to stay here at Fort Benning for another year and a half. Dane was able to get command here!!!! Perfect place to stay for a long time (in Army life)!! I can not believe Devin will be able to almost finish 2 years in the same school. Of course we do not have our orders yet, so I am still a little worried it could change but the big boss called Dane and told him so sounds good to me :)

Below here is Devin with his "Robot bug" an elective for cub scouts! It vibrates and moves!!

We were super excited to get a special gift from Grandma Nichols just for Jarom, a wonder new quilt she made for him. Jarom loves it. It is even great to hide under when mommy wants to take a picture.

Lastly, here is Ammon socializing during church since he will not sit still for sacrament. I love that smile. I am glad Dane got it on camera.

Trip to Atlanta

These pictures uploaded very weird, so we will see how they look. Last weekend we took a trip up to Atlanta with Grandma. Dane and I were able to go to the Atlanta Temple which was nice. The next day we went to the Georgia Aquarium, lots of fun!

Today we went to Hobby Lobby and saw this great bench. It was so cool, I would love to have it only $400.00!

The best picture of all, Who wants the dog bed more, Ammon or Shmoo????? Shmoo always wins. Shmoo will drag Ammon around until Ammon gets off or fells off. SO FUNNY!!
