This weekend!

The kids and I are leaving for Garmicsh this weekend for 3 days for a "Strong Bonds" training at Edelweiss Resort (like a marriage retreat). Someone from my ward is even giving one of the classes! Hotel, food, and everything paid! I like that, a free mini vacation! The classes are only a couple hours a day. The rest of the time is free time, indoor pool, food, and exploring.

More Pictures

I looked outside and saw these ducks in my backyard! I felt like I was in Florida! I can not remember seeing ducks here before, so to have them in my backyard was great. They loved the pond until Devin scared them away!
Like with EVERY Army festival, they had jumpy things. They had a 100 day deployment Festival/Spring Festival. It was fun but very small. It was to cold to be outside, so they had to put everything inside a gym. Devin had fun of course.

Adorable pictures

Devin got a new hat for his uniform for Baseball he is about to start playing. He put it on Jarom and I thought it was adorable. He actually kept it on for a photo!

My Saturday Fun!

I just got an email with this picture from our "Coffee Social" (just going out to lunch with the senior Army wives). I love going out to eat, so I had fun.

I thought Spring was coming here to Germany, but I was wrong.
IT'S SNOWING RIGHT NOW!!

Sunday fun!

After church, we went to a FRG activity (Amy wives) and stuffed candy Easter bags for all the guys in Iraq. We also made a banner to send them. Below is Devin's hand and some pictures of us.

Here are my cuties ready for church. I finally found a larger white shirt for Devin and some bigger pants. I also found cute church shoes for Jarom at the thirft store for $4.00. It is hard to find church clothes here. It is very limited, so I am happy when I do find it.

My first real Cake

Well, our ward was having a talent show Friday. If you did not want to show a talent, you could make a cake. So I did. I have never done a layered cake before. It was a lot more work then I thought but very good. I have been baking a lot lately for Army bake sales and this cake. It keeps me busy and fun. It is just hard to bake just for me and 2 kids that are picky eaters.

Wednesday Fun!

I wanted to show you a German tradition. They put Easter eggs on their trees/plants (inside and outside). I love it! I will so keep this tradition in my family.
For the last several months I have been planning our Relief Society Birthday Enrichment. It turned out great and I had lots of fun being silly. Dane wished he could have seen me acting silly. As you can see in the pictures we were all Queen's, daughter of God!
Jarom and I swim class.

I love this picture. It was actually a video on my camera, but I changed it to a photo. I love that smile. He is Joe cool with a big belly!

Poem Dane sent me!

My darling gal
I wonder ponder and pout
I know your wonderful
making me shout
how I live to make you laugh
even though I feel soft and busy
and the deployment isnt easy
half your heart is still in Iraq
Isn't that sweet?

Private Blog now!

I have made our blog private now because..... well I have a Live Traffic Feed on there that tells me who looks at my blog. Dane has always been very cautious since it does have some information on it. I looked at the Live Traffic Feed and noticed like 10 different people from different countries looking at my blog within minutes of each other, weird activity! If Dane was not in the Army and not in Iraq, I might think differently. I have been hearing lots of scary things going on around here even on post! I do not feel has safe as I once did. You just can't trust some people.

Friday

So here is my hear after I styled it. I like it, just right! On the left side of the blog is a poll. Vote what I should do with my hair.
Here is Devin at his soccer game Thursday(in the yellow), very cold and wet! I stayed in the car with Jarom! I parked really close, so I could still see the game and take pictures.

Teen kills 15 in Germany before taking own life

WINNENDEN, Germany – A 17-year-old wielding a Beretta 9 mm pistol burst into classrooms at his former high school Wednesday and gunned down students — some of whom died with their pencils still in hand — in a rampage that ended with 15 dead before he took his own life, authorities said.
There was no immediate indication of motive, but the gunman's victims were primarily female: eight of nine students killed were girls, and all three teachers were women. Three men were killed later as the suspect, identified by police as Tim K., fled.

Jarom's swim class

This is the only picture I could get without Jarom running for the water. I think all the other moms are going to take turns taking photos for each other next week.
The water really makes his blue eyes jump out at you!
An Army club here is having a Beauty Pageant for boys and girls. Maybe I should put Jarom in it or maybe I'm just a mom that thinks their child is the cutest!

My new hair cut!!

I thought I would take the opportunity while Dane was gone to cut my hair shorter! Here it is after the stylest did it. I have not styled it myself yet, so we will see. I like it though! I still wanted to pull it back if needed since I still have a little hope I will get to the gym someday.

Monday

I got really lucky Monday evening! Jarom took a 3 hour nap, and I got so much stuff done around the house. I cleaned and organized the down stair part of the house. I even had a little 6 year old helper which was weird. I have been sick and not feeling well, so it was good to get my energy back and have a clean house.
Devin has started soccer, and he is playing with the older kids now (6-9 I think).
I have Jarom in a "Baby and Me" swim class starting this week.
The kids keep me busy!

My new interest

I rented a DVD from the Library and really liked it. It is from Best-Selling Author Janette Oke, Love Comes Softly series. I really wanted to watch the rest of the series, so I ordered online. I was able to rent about 4 of the DVD's already and love them. They are good family movies that show faith and hope during hard times. Go rent it; it's good!

Wednesday

March 4, 2003 Devin was born
Happy Birthday Devin!!
I took cupcakes to Devin's school today
They did Happy Birthday to Devin. For some reason, Devin gets a little shy when they sing to him. Very weird!
Don't worry, today was wacky day at school. His teacher normally doesn't dress like that!

Our good byes to Dane as he leaves to finish his year long deployment :(
Vacation just goes by to fast.

Our last picture together! You can tell Jarom never leaves me alone! Mamas boy!

Dane's baby pictures

We just got in the mail a CD from Dane's sister with over 100 photos of Dane growing up. This one is by far my favorite!
I guess Dane would ran around like crazy until he would pass out! SO FUNNY!

Last Sunday Together

I guess vacations must come to an end! Sunday was our last Sunday for a VERY LONG time, so I had to take a picture.
Saturday we went to a baptism in Wurzburg and afterward stopped at a pretty bridge. Germany is finally starting to get a little warmer like 45 degrees, so nice! I am SO EXCITED for Spring!
