I am Grateful!

Since vacation in Malta, Dane and I have been more grateful for things we have. We made a list so here it is:
Clean and smooth roads
City planning
Driving on the right side of the road
Trees and plants
Sandy beaches-only rock beaches
Sun screen-EVERYONE was RED, except US!
Rain
scriptures-we forgot ours
WASHING MACHINES!!!!
Jarom's OWN ROOM!

Active members
OUR HOUSE!!

You forget how much you have until you go somewhere different. We have been counting our many blessings!

Day 5 Church Day

Here is there chapel, very small. There were about 10 church members there which is smaller then when Dane was there for his mission, so we missed seeing some of Dane's older friends!

The rest of the day we went to visit some people Dane remembers from his mission. This was a VERY STRESSFUL day for me because we had to check out of our hotel because it was all full. We could not find another hotel because they were all full. Finally we found one about 9:00 at night. I was not a happy mommy that night and we were all tired!

Day 4

Day 4 we took a ferry over to another Island called Gozo to see a church family Dane remembers from his mission. They took us to see some sights on the Island. Below is the Ggantija Temples, over 5000 years old. Everything was large in size. They believe giants used this Temple.

Malta Vacation Day 1 and 2

Day 1 - We got to the airport early because I was stressing about getting lost and everything else that might go wrong. Well, something was wrong with our plane, so they decided to fly in another plane which took another 2 hours. So our first day on vacation was spent mostly at the airport! Once we got to Malta, we rented a car and drove to find a hotel. In Malta they drive on the left side of the road, so we got LOTS of HONKS!! I would not drive. I left all of that to Dane!

Day 2 - We had a full day. We went to a craft village. Here is some pictures of some Malta crafts.

Malta, Here we come!

We will be gone for a week for vacation to Malta where Dane went on his mission. He is so excite, maybe toooo much, just playing! I will have LOTS of pictures and post them when we get back!

Here comes the COLD!

Well, it rained here for about 2 days and a cold front is here. It is in the 60's during the day and 40's at night. I have been trying to collect winter hats for Jarom, but he does NOT like to wear them. You see Dane holding his hands down just for the picture.














I got smart here and bought this German hat (at the thirft store of course for $1.00!!) and it velcro's on so Jarom can not pull it off. All the German baby's look like this even during 70 degree weather, crazy!

Not much going on....

I am having trouble trying to think of anything to put on the blog. I must be boring!!! Well, next Wednesday we will be going to Malta (Island south of Italy). I am so excited. I will have lots of pictures. Today, Saturday we got our family pictures taken to give to family for Christmas. The end of the year is coming. Since Dane is deploying late November I wanted to get it done now. I am happy with how they look except I forgot to put lip stick on, so my face looks a little pale. Not much news here, just relaxing as much as I can with kids :)

Thursday

Well, I completed my Enrichment meeting at church last night and everything went great. I started taking picture to show, but the last part I forgot which was the funest part. That is why I forgot, I must have been having fun!

So, with all the hard work and getting home late I decided to keep Devin home from school and NOT get up at 5:00am. Funny thing is Devin has not even asked me why he did not go to school today yet. Maybe he thinks it is Saturday! We all slept in to almost 8:00. It was nice.

5:00 am mornings!

Well, since Dane is back, I have to drive him to work in the morning which makes me have to get up at 5:00am and leave at 5:30 with the kids. Of course, the kids do not go back to sleep once they are in the car, no no no no no, that would make me lucky! Today is day 3 of this and I am TIRED! Poor Devin has to go to school after all this and that is why I got a letter sent home from his teacher yesterday. Devin ran away from the teacher, hitting, and not listening. So, I put Devin to sleep last night at 7:00pm, I mean snoring at 7:00pm. I laid down with him to make sure of it! After I take Dane to work early in the morning, I come back home and go back to sleep with Jarom:)

Tonight I have my first big Enrichment meeting that I have planned all by myself, so the stress will be gone tomorrow!!

Day #2 in Kindergarten

Well, day #2 of Kindergarten was not as good. The teacher is already talking to me about Devin's behavior and not listening. I want to know what lesson am I going to get from all of this?? Devin has had trouble in EVERY school he had been, why? I have tried everything. He went to bed earlier and we talked about his behavior, etc, so I hope Day 3 is a better day.

Surprise Again!

The Army surprises me again. Dane called late last night and said all the soldiers that have Kindergardeners get to come home (bus trip about 2 hrs) to see their Kindergardener off their first day of school. Of course, all the soldiers had to get right back on the bus and go back to work (another 2 hr bus ride back). I guess the Army does care about families!! Dane got in about 6:30 am, so we went to Burger King for breakfast. Dane and Devin had a contest who could smile the biggest! I think Dane wins!
