Vacation 2010

I went to the doctor today and everything is good and normal. Everything the doctor was concerned with is good now!
So here are some picture of what we have done so far, below is Weiden, Germany
Regensburg, Germany (My dad drove a floating tank across this river in 1964 when he was stationed here)

We found out Jarom loves Bratwurst which he calls "hot dog"

Here is our little town in Grafenwoefr in the center of town. They have the fountain decorated with painted Easter eggs.

Family is here!

Here is a picture of the boys waiting and waiting at the airport!
My dad and Step-mother is here. I guess my dad went off trying to find us for about an hour. He finally went back to my step-mother to get the luggage and come out the gate and there we were! I guess he was just in a hurry to find us instead of just following everyone else. At least we are togther now but very tired!

No Pink for me!!!

At least now I can get the boy clothes out and get things ready.
Some concerns the doctor has is the head is very round perfectly, could be nothing but she wants to see me again next Wednesday. She said it could just run in the family. Germany does tons more testing while pregnant than the US which is good.
The doctor also said my thyroid levels are a little low-maybe that is why I have no energy, gaining weight to fast, and grumpy a lot!!!
Common symptoms of problem with thyroid due to low thyroid or hypothyroidism are:
• Fatigue and weakness• Low basal temperature ( cold intolerance)• Dry and coarse skin• Hair loss• Cold hands and feet• Weight gain• Insomnia• Constipation• Depression• Poor memory, forgetfulness, dementia• Nervousness and tremors• Immune system problems• Heavy menstrual periods

Devin's Prayer

"Please bless daddy that he will say excuse me when he farts!"
This makes me laugh so hard. I had to share!

Happy Anniversary to us!

Today is that special day were Dane and I got married! He is a awesome husband and dad. I really could not ask for a better man to be the father of our children. I know family is so important to him, and you can see it everyday. I am making snow crab legs for dinner! Everyone likes them except Jarom. I think it will be a treat.
For Family Home Evening we went bowling! I found out they had this ramp thing for little kids to play, so now Jarom LOVES BOWLING!
Here is Devin getting mad at Jarom for not posing for my picture!

So here is Jarom room! I am totally into the dot theme in the boys rooms if you can't tell already! Jarom's room has lots of color. He sure does love "his circles."

Germany has these paper flowers they hang all over, hanging in the windows. I decided to tape them with our dots.

Blessings

My family wanted me to post some pictures of the house after I got everything settled. Well, I am having a hard time keeping each room clean to take pictures. So one room at a time! Here is Devin's room which I have really never done a theme before, but now it is blue and brown. I love the dots. I ordered them from Walmart.
In Germany they do not have closets and the Army would not let us use the Army furniture like our other place did, so I did not know what to do with all our stuff. Devin has lots of games and such I needed to put up high so Jarom could not get into it. We looked at buying stuff here, but everything was lot of money and cheaply made. So I just waited and then I got an email about our missionaries moving and wanting to give away a closet. I called and we got it. See it below in Devin's room.
It fits all his stuff in there perfectly. I feel so blessed have everything we need and more. I know Heavenly Father watches over us and protects us. Now if I can just make Devin remember that!

Hospital Tour

So anyone that know me, knows I like to be prepared! I am the type that will have her bag packed for the Hospital months before. The Army here gives tours of the Hospital for labor and delivery and everything you need to know. It is scary having a child in a foreign country. My last experience in the Hospital was not so good since I could not read anything, so I wanted to be prepared. I got to see the delivery rooms and meet the mid-wives (which were very nice). I asked questions about the normal labor and delivery traditions in the States, and a lot of things are the same. I feel better now about what will happen in August. One thing that is different is they really want you to stay in the Hospital for at least 3 days. This will be hard for me since I have never been away from Jarom. They also only want 1 person in the delivery room! They told me they might make an exception if they are not busy! Hopefully you can be there with us mom. I think the tour also helped the kids realize a baby is coming. Jarom just wants to hug the babys and Devin was looking in all the rooms! What an experience this will be!

Devin's 7th Birthday!

So I decided to copy my sister-in-law and get a picture of Devin showing how old he is now!
We had his birthday party today, Saturday, at Mega Play ( a big indoor playground). Devin was so excited and talking like crazy ready for his party.

Devin had to light his own candles (big boy) Here is a picture for you Melody (17 weeks pregnant side picture)

Little kid area (Jarom and Devin)

Love the big kid slide!

Love these 2 seater bikes, perfect to Devin and Jarom.

It was a great birthday, except for the lots and lots of snow we woke up to in the morning!

Some more!

So anyone with kids in school know it was Dr Seuss birthday on March 2. Devin's school had a bedtime stories at school at night, so we went. Devin got to wear Pjs to school. Devin sure liked seeing Clifford. When we left, he had to go run to Clifford and give him a hug. I told him, "next time tell me first so I can get a picture"!
Another of Jarom playing and having fun.

Finally!

Well for the last 2 days I have been trying to upload pictures and it will not do it. Something is wrong with our Internet. I did get these 2 pictures up finally.
This is the playground right by our house. This pictures has our house on the left, so you can see how close we are to the playground. The kids love it.
