Day 3

Day 3 was not my favorite! below is our spark plug wire! It was in two pieces! We learned that Germany has little animals that like to bite through car wires! I guess it liked my car! Since I have a US car in Germany, I was very stressed we would not find a part to fit. I wanted to get back home! I was very happy when a local German Auto store had a temp fix so we could get home. We left for home a day early because we did not want our wires like this again.

We had to go swim since Devin was begging for days.

Here is our Hotel from our room. It was very cloudy, so it was had to see the mountains in the back.
It was a nice vacation, but a little to much snow for me. I guess they had a snow storm the night before we got there. Lots of snow!

Day 2

This is not in order but you will see our very full day #2.
Devin sleding

Daddy and Devin having fun.

Daddy and Jarom sleding. Jarom loved it!

Daddy had Devin try a very tall and bumpy hill right from the start. Devin got a bump on the head, crying, and ready to go home.
After Daddy went sleding with Devin, he found out sleding was really fun and loved it!

On our way back, we ran into a small parade on the road.

We went to Germany's tallest mountain called Zugspitze. We took the cable car up the mountain and since Devin loved trains, we went down by the cogwheel train!

The view was wonderful

After all our fun, we went back to the hotel for more fun. I signed up Devin for a "kids night out" while the rest of us went on a Horse and Carriage ride around the old part of Garmisch. It was very cold but nice. Dane even sung 2 songs for everyone!

Day 1

We left Wednesday for Garmisch, Germany for vacation. We stopped half way at the Dachau Concentration Camp of WWII. Here are some pictures. The first picture is the front gate were every prisoner walked through.

Dane is HERE!!!

We are so excited to have our wonderful DADDY back home for a 2 week vacation! We woke up VERY early Sunday morning like 3:00 am to drive 2 hours away to pick him up. After driving back, we got dressed for church. It was a long Sunday, but it was very nice and worth it! The night before we left to get Dane, Devin said a prayer for it to not snow and we will drive safe to pick up Daddy. It had been snowing ALL week everyday, EXCEPT SUNDAY. It even snowed tons on Monday. The power of prayer!!!!

Dane has lots of pictures of Iraq, but I need to find out how to transfer them on my compter first since he did not bring back the cord to the computer.

We are leaving Wednesday for our vacation in Garmisch, Germany. The Army has a lodge and resort with lots of fun winter activities. We are excited and I will post lots of pictures.

Snow, Snow, Snow

It has been snowing almost everyday this week it seems. Below is a pictures of our backyard. This is our big pond frozen over below.

Maybe this is why I have been staying home more! COLD! People do tell me that it should start warming up in about a month.

This week

This week has gone by fast but really nothing to post. Ever since coming back home from Florida, I have been tired and at peace with staying home. This is weird for me because I have been on the go since I have moved here not wanting to stay home much. I feel like I am in a daze a lot, weird. I think it's because I stay up late at night since I can not sleep and then tired during the day. The life of deployments!!

We are so excited to have Dane home for vacation soon. I can not post when, but very soon!!!!

Devin's new learning DVD's

I just got my box from Amazon.com with this Leapfrog Learning DVDs 5-Pack (Talking Words Factory / Talking Words Factory II / Learn to Read at the Storybook Factory / Letter Factory /Math Circus) and it is wonderful. I have been worried because I learned Devin should be reading by 1st grade, next school year! Devin watched one DVD and came to me saying, "That movie was awesome." I asked him did you learn anything? He spelled CAT! Every kids is so differnt, but Devin learns more from the TV then me teaching him. I think these DVD's are great!

First Hair Cut!!

Here is my cutie with his first hair cut! I just have to have short hair on my boys.

Saturday fun!

We had a very nice Saturday starting off staying at home relaxing since Jarom took a two and a half hour nap, ha!! Then we left to go to a birthday party were the kids painted figurines. Devin did a dog and cat together. It kept his attentions for about 15-20 min. He was the first to leave the table!
We also went to a ward primary activity. In Germany this time of year, they have Fasching which kind of like our Mardi Gra in the States. Well, this primary activity showed us a little of their traditions. It was a big party and lots of fun. They dress up in costumes. See here is Mickey Mouse!!!

Musical Chairs

Dane

We got to see Dane for the second time now on a big screen. The little square is us and what he can see of us. He seemed to be in good spirits smiling! He is still working over 12 hours days, but he did get his second day off last week since he has been there! We are looking forward to seeing him soon for R & R (vacation).

This week

Well, this week I have not posted much because I have been busy with getting orginized and attending to very busy children. Some days I have struggled getting a shower with my 2 boys but life must go on! Saturday was fun. Some of the wives in Dane's unit got together and made Valentine goodie bags to send to about 150 soldiers in 172nd Support Battalion. I told Devin what we were going to do for Daddy and the other soldiers with Daddy. Devin said, " no mommy I don't want to because I want Daddy to be strong." See I somethings tell Devin that candy is not good for you and we should eat good food to make us strong. I thought that was very thoughtful of Devin to worry about Daddy! Today, Sunday, some of the Army wives with no husbands got together and had lunch after church. It was nice to be around people in the same situation as you.
